No. I haven't posted tacky polish before... why do you ask....

Yes, I intend to wear this manicure in public - to church no less- though I may need to don a large set of round ears, some white gloves and an oversize pair of rounded heels to complete the look....

Hooked On Fingernail Polish

Lately I've been on a fingernail polish kick.

Yes, those are my toes! I removed my fingernail polish without taking a picture so I "photoed" my feet! I loved this look. It reminded me of cupcakes on my tips.

Neglected Hall Closet Gets Some Overdue Love

  When we moved in 2 years ago, there were some items left in the hall closet. Rather than deal with those items, I promptly added more items. Those items fell in love and created more items. And they would have lived happily ever after......
 But the cleaning fairy sprinkled her dust...

I know. It's bad, real bad.

I found some cool boxes/bins at the dollar store and they worked perfectly for this closet.

Of course, everything got a label.

Vaccum cleaner bags have their own little home now.

I added commonly used cleaners to the doors where the kids can access them easily.-- And put them back.

Let's not forget the aftermath of my organizing frenzy.

Catch-All Kitchen Cabinet

Do you have a catch all cabinet in your kitchen? Here's mine -ahem- one of mine.

Just in case you think it's not that bad, here's a close up.

There we have it. I whipped out the label maker and

some dollar store baskets.

Also got a strange urge to not only line each shelf with shelf liner but

also the back of the cabinet too....?

It's no wonder I put off organizing...

I did this about a month ago and everything is staying put....could it be...the

power of labels?

Label maker is my new BFF.

Reviving the Deck

After a long winter with no love, below is the sad, lowly state of the deck.

Fifteen dollar rug turned into the consistency of a dried paper towel.

Yuck.

We flipped the rug over.

My lovely assitant and I grabbed some painters tape

and commenced to taping using the boards on the deck as a guide.

Oh, yeah, we commence 'round these parts.

Intoduce spray paint to make sure our idea will work...

Alas! It does!

and better than I thought because the paint gets on the fat, blank

lines just enough to make it look intentional. Yay.

Adam hit my pot with the lawn mower so I took this doo-hickey

gave it some paint (because I'm in that mode) and repotted it.

                                      

And here's the finished result:

                                              Husband and I are planning to stain the deck soon
                                         but so far, I'm please with this mini-makeover
                                                             on a $0 budget. (( :
